Old Dan, a large bay horse that was well known to most of the old-timers,died on Tuesday, having reachedthirty years of age. He was raised b\ Jesse Stark, and when five years old and common horses selling for $10 each, he was purchased by the Jewett brothers for $150, and for the past twenty-live years has been owned bv Philo D. Jewett. He with a mate held the record of the fastest time ever made between here and Havilah.
