The invitation was accepted and officers elected* J. B. Hammondthen spoke of hits trip to New York, and gave an account of the reputationof iheir grandparents among their neighbors. A. B. Hammond spoke on the subject of our duties and influence toward each other and said he hoped we would have a reunion beyond this world that would never break up. hc 1\ L. Hammond gave a short history of the race ami spoke of his acquain-tanecs and triends in the west. Chas. e- Armstrong spoke ot the satisfaction of I meeting with friends on such an occasion. J. K. Hammond dwelt on thesubject ot family reunions. Luther Hammond. Lewis Hammond, David Cromer, John Ingorsoll, Mary Hammond and Nancy Howe all gave interest ing accounts of their early pioneer life. Hollis Hammond then read an 10 account of the picnic held in New,lt;r* j York.
