HenryStoreys Celebrate GoldenWedding Anniversary With Open House“We’ve dorte a lot of living in these 50 years and are looking forward to a lot more,” said Mrs. Henry L. Storey as she and Mr. Storey celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 16.Over 200 friends and relatives called during the afternoon form 3 to 7 p.m. at the Storey residence at 600 Everett to honor the couple. Receiving with them was their daughter, Mildred.A barbecue was served at noon to approximately 48 out of town guests. Beautiful flowers and gifts were displayed throughout the house, remembrances of family and friends.The serving table was laid with gold taffeta, covered with a lace cloth, A three-tiered white cake, decorated with gold was served during the aternoon.Mrs. Storey is the daughter of the late J. D. Lea veils. She was born and raised here and has one surviving brother, Judge John Leavell, Mr. Storey came to Kerrvilie in 1904 from Houston, and is a partially retired paint contractor,“We left Kerrvilie about 1 p.m. that September day in 1912, Mrs. Storey recalled, “and rode to Harper in the mail hack driven by Jess Parker. It was 10 at night before we arrived, and the moon was os full as it was Saturday night. We were married by a Methodist minister, a Brother Burns, and spent our honeymoon at the T. M. Whetstone ranch at KnoxviLie.’’Mrs. Storey says she is busy writing notes but would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made Sunday such a happy day for them.Out of town guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Payne, Mrs. and Mr. Boyd tjove, Vernon Love, Guss Sweiger, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Burrell and doughtier. Hoxie, Gerald Borcher, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Ober. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal and grand-daugh-ters, Dr. and Mrs. Ed Shipman. A. O. Strauch, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Taylor all of San Antonio.Also, Mrs. W. R. Collins and Tom Hunnieutt of Johnson City;A.
