ObituariesVeda TaylorVeda Mae Taylor, daughter of John and Opal Whitney Lallak was born July 2, 1918 at Haddam, Kan. She died Sept. 15, 2008at Republic County Long Term Care ,Belleville,Kan., at the age of 90 years,2 months and 13 days.She attended Haddam Public Schools.On April 15, 1936, she was united in marriage to Frank Taylor. To this union three children were bom.They lived in the Mahaska, Kan. area till 1959 and then moved to a farm south of Haddam. She was a homemaker.Her hobbies were having family dinners, playing cards, gardening and canning.She was a member of Haddam United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Senior Citizens and Rural Matron Club.She was preceded in by her parents; husband; son, Ronald; grandson, Bobby Joe Graves; brother, John and sisters, Opal and Vivian.Survivors include her daughters, Donna Jean Bunch and hef husband, Vem of Cuba, Kan., Betty J. Graves and her husband, Robert of Haddam; grandchildren, Barbara Rott and her husband, Chuck of Clay Center, Kan., Linda Gieber and her husband, Butch, Gary Bunch, all of Cuba, Pamela Deneault and her husband, Phil of Concordia, Kan., Travis Graves and his wife, Amy of Belleville, Tracy Graves and his wife, Elsie of Fairbury, Tina Moore and her husband, Danny of Morrowville, Kan.; 20 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Goldsby of Lincoln, Neb. and other relatives.Services were Sept. 17 at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Memorial Chapel in Belleville with the Rev. Mark Imel officiating. Memorials to family’s choice. Burial was in the Mahaska Cemetery, Ma-hasha.
