The party starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Mac’s Time Out Lounge, in the large back room. Weirich and others from the Faeebook group will be there at 6 p.m. and for awhile longer as people arrive. The organizers made clear that this party is in no way the AHS 1967 class reunion.“It’s a party that was suggested by those in our Faeebook group,” Scoggins said. “It sounded fun—so we ran with the idea; the first of what we hopewill be many.”As the group posted and chatted on Faeebook, they came to the realization that they needn’t wait until once-a-year reunions to catch up, especially as some class members become ill as they age.“A class member made a ‘deceased’ video of our classes and it just hit us, ‘Why are we waiting?’” Scoggins recalled. “It’s just a party, it’s not meant to replace the reunion.”Attendees can come in and out of Mac’s reserve room toSee STREETS, Page B5
