Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Kitterman, of Washington township, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary at their country home, Wednesday, September 23. An invitation is extended to all relatives and friends to come to the Kitterman home on that date and be guests of the aged host and hostess.Mr. and Mrs. Kitterman were married in Wayne county in 1858. The year following they came to Blackford county and acquired ownership of their present home place, consisting of 160 acres, and have resided on the same farm since that time. Washington township was practically all wilderness upon arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Kitterman, but in a few months Mr. Kitterman had cleared two acres and with the timber had constructed a home, in which log house they lived until about 1889. Since that date until two years ago, their daughter, Mrs. Frank Nelson, and family lived in the cabin.
