CUV OF PITTSFIELD.NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.City of Pittsfield. Office of the Board of Public Works.September 16. 1901. Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Rublie Works of the City of Pittsfield, Arass., at their office until 2:30 P. M. Friday, September 27th. 1901, for the completing of the work of building a dam at Ashiev Lake in t/ Town of Washington, Mass.No bid will be received unless accompanied by a certified check for $;00. A bond will be required for one-quarter the amount of the contract. All bids must be made upon the blanks furnished by the Board.Some of the quantities estimated are as follows:Concrete 1450 cubic yards.Stone masonry 111 cubic yards.Coping stone 8 inches thick3340 square feet. Earth excavation 292 cubic yards.Earth embankments 3000 cubic yards.Cobble stone paving 540 square yards. Hemlock lumber in place B. M.5000 feet. Gate House superstructure.Plans can be seen and specifications and form of contract can be obtained at the office of said Board.The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.James Ti.
