George Bucher.Solo, “Recessional,M Miss Trux-el.Address, Captain Earnest O. Kooser, (due to illness deliveied by Captain Curtis W. Truxel).Unvoting, Sally Ann Bair and Jere Shaffer, great-great-great grandchildren.Presentation of tablet, Berth a T. Grove.Acceptance, John H. Holms.Benediction, Rev. Bucher.Taps.The following appeared cm the tablet:“Zebulon Parke, bom January 25, 2757, Hunderton county, IT. 3.; died July 4, 1345, m Westmoreland county, Pa Revolutionary soldier. Enlisted on October 26, 1776; reenlisted February 4r 1777, discharged May 27, 1780. Sergeant in Third New Jersey Regiment. Engaged in battles of Short-hills, Brandywine, Germantown, Croswicks Bridge, Monmouth and Chemung, Encamped at Valley Forge in winter of 1777-177S,“Jane Burris, born 1757, died 1826 in Westmoreland county, wife of Zebulon Parke.“Erected and dedicated by their descendants September 10, 1939,”The following inscription appeared on the original stone marker of Zebulon ParkeV grave:“Here beneath this humble 3©d,a hero veterans body lies, his spirit has returned to God to rest in peace above the skies. Reader, will thou like h«m prepare, at least to meet with death in peace with him a Saviour’s love, to share, and reign where pleasures neverceosr The dedicatory service was in charge of the following committee; Mjss Bertha T. Grove, chairman, Somerset; Mrs. John H Bair, Ls-trobe; Mrs. Howard LaulTer, Manor; Mrs. Albert Reynolds,Perryopolis; Thomas Mcllvame,Traft’ord.This was considered one of the best reunions held at the /Pleasant Grove, Lheie being approximately 350 in attendance. Those present from Connellsvffle included Mr.and Mrs. Ernest R. Kooscr anddaughter, and C. E Reynolds.
