Mr. and Mrs. Alexander y Hidgeley of 26 Edler Street ( were honored at a surprise reception celebrating their 43th wedding anniversary.The event was held at the Bowman’s Addition Fire Hall and was given by the couple's children and their families.Mrs. Ridgeley is the former Elsie E. Twigg, daughter of the late George V. and Laura (Baldwin) Twigg. Mr. Ridgeley is the son of the late Walter and Lily (Conner) Ridgeley of Ridgeley.They are the parents of five children, Walter S. Ridgeley of1 Peoria, Ariz.; Merritt A. Ridgeley, Cumberland; Richard L. Ridgeley, Glendale, Ariz.; M. Lee Ridgeley, Cumberland, and Lavonne Bittle of Raleigh, N.C.They have 14 grandchildrenand two-great-grandchildren.Larry Ridgeley and Miss Karen Ridgeley presented their grandparents with a boutonniere and white carnation corsage.Mr. and Mrs. Ridgeley were married August 9, 1927, by the late C. H. Wakeman at the Church of the Brethren. Mr. Ridgeley was employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and The Box Company.The three-tiered cake, topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom,, yellow roses and gold leaves, was cut and served by Mrs. Lavonne Bittle and Mrs. Mary Frances Wolff.Miss. Karen - Ridgeley presided at the punch bowl. Miss Cheryl Ann Ridgeley,* another granddaughter, registered guests. Mrs. Merritt Ridgeley, Mrs. Lee Ridgeley, Mrs. Richard Ridgeley, daughters-in-law, and Mrs. Freda Koelker assisted.Lee Ridgeley and Mrs. Lavonne Bittle assisted with gifts.Entertainment was by The
