The day was observed with members of their family.The former Virginell Adams, daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Elzy V. Adams of Pasadena, CaL, former Massillon residents, and William Toles, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Walter Toles of 312 11th st SW, were married Sept. 12, 1936-in the residence of the late Rev. James Norris, pastor of St., James AME Zion church.They have . four daughters, Mrs. Esther Byrd of Columbus: Mrs. Mary. Byrd, Mrs. Sandra Newman and Mrs. Patty Peterson all of- Massillon, and two sons, William E. Toles of Massillon: and Vernon Toles of LongTHE RECEPTION followed in the American Legion home. Music was provided by The Johnson Five, led by the brother of the bride. Guests were from Canton, Columbus and Chicago.For travel, destination undisclosed, the bride wore a soft print knit of brown and blue with brown accessories and a white glamellia corsage.The bride, a 1970 graduate of [Washington high school is em-■ ployed in the office of Dr. J. C. i McDonald, M.D, The groom, who ! graduated -from Washington high school in 1968 is employed as a iandscaper at Lake Cable Nursery, Inc. They Will residei at 421 Amvale ave NE.FOLLOWING THE wedding rehearsal Friday evening an open house was held in the residence of the groom’s parents when a buffet dinner was:Beach, Calif. They have 21 grandchildren.Mrs. Toles is retired from Massillon city hospital where she was employed as a ward secretary. Mr. Toles is employed by Republic Steel Corp.
