Golden anniversary - Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wood of Gearhartville, Philipsburg, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12. Mrs. Wood is the former Rella Bainey of Gearhartville. The couple was married Aug. 12, 1943, by the late Rev. Joseph Wood, brother of Mr. Wood, at the Baptist Church in Tyrone. Their son Donald, daughter- in-law Dorothy, and two grandchildren hosted a dinner Aug. 12 at the Harbor Inn, Philipsburg, and a reception Aug. 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg for family and friends.
