Zion, O.The evening started with a wiener roast and fellowship supper. After informal fun and fellowship, the Smiths were invited in to the church and .were asked to open a wrappe?cL_gifL After much struggling through newspaper, friction tape, and baling wire, a small box was disclosed which contained a sizeable gift of money, expi'essing the appreciation of the people assembled for the work done by the Rev. and Mrs. Smith during their short stay in Sandusky. The pastor was a member of the Erie-co Ministerial Association, and was active on several committees of that group. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Civic Music Association, Sandusky Choral Club, Newcomer’s Club, and the Girl Scout Leaders Assoc--iation. Their daughter, Ruth, is employed at the Hinde and Dauch Paper Co. in the purchasing department and will remain in the city. Their son, Robert, is a senior at High school and has been employed by the Kroger Co. here. Their youngest daughter, Shirley i is a freshman and is a member of the Sandusky High band. Robert and Shirley expect to transfer to the Holmes-Liberty school at jBucyrus next week.It was with regret that their local friends learned of their transfer to a JaVger and fuller field of service in the Marion district. The Rev. Mr. Smith’s predecessor at Oceola was district leader of the Marion district and was moved to Delphos at the recent conference.
