MR. AND MRS. D. W. DAVISCELEBRATE ANNIVERSARYFriends of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Davis are congratulating them over their €C'*th wedding anniversary which was celebrated, Sunday, on the farm where M r. Davis was bom and where his son, Arthur, now lives, two miles south of Cartersburg.Mr. Davis was born March 16, 1836, the son of Evan and Rebecca Davis, who settled on the farm, coming from North Carolina in 1826. Mrs. Davis, daughter of Rix and Nancy Newby, was born in Morgan county, May 17, 1341. Only one person is now living who attended their wedding—Mrs. 3fary Dryden, of Martinsville. Mr.4Xavis answered his country’s call by serving in the 99th regiment, Indiana volunteers. They have the following sons: A, E. Davis, of New York; Arthur M. Davis, who lives on the home farm; Emmett T. Davis, of Indianapolis, and Evan B. Davis, of Mobile,jUa.
