Civil Engineer, R. H. Gamble, of Lima, and G. L. McKibben, of Van Wert, submitted written estimates ofthe necessaries and cost of a waterworks plant for Delphos. Their figures varied little, and Mr. McKibbenalso gave an estimate of the cost ofputting in an electric light plant atthe water works pumping station.Mr. Gamble figured that the water works plant would cost $43,198.04.Mr. McKibben’s figures on the plantwere $58,210, and on the electric lightplant, $17,050.J. C. Cronley, ex-surveyor of Allen county- gave a verbal statement of theestimated cost of a water works plant, going over the ground thoroughly, and he and Mr. Gamble made application for the work of drawing up plansand specifications. The work was given to Mr. Gamble, who will receive $250 therefore.The chief was instructed to securenecessary fittings and use the water from the corporation well to flush the Main street sewers.
