Cassaneses note 50th anniversaryMr. and Mrs. George C. Cas sanese of Johnstown have noted their 50th wedding anniversary with a 14 day cruise and tour of Alaska.Mr. Cassanese and the former Ruby Jane Medva were married Aug. 20.1955. at St. Mary’s Hungarian Roman Catholic Church. Wind ber. by the Rev. Stephen Hegedus. Mr. Cassanese was bom July 10.1954. in Windber. son of Joseph and Angel ine (Patchen) Cassanese.Mrs. Cassanese was bom June 29.1905. in Scalp Level, daughter of Francis and Rose (Estenes) Medva.Mr. Cassanese retired after 40 years' service from Bestform Foundations of PennsylvaniaInc. as a manager.Mutos celebrate 62nd anniversaryHe served in the Marines as a presidential honor guard and Marine Corps Institute instructor stationed in Washington. D C.Mr. Cassanese is a member of the Knights of Columbus, fourth degree. He enjoys golfing, playing cards and working outside.Mrs. Cassanese retired after 35 years’ service from Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 as a speech therapist.She is a life member of the National Education Association and the Retired Pennsylvania Teachers Association.Mrs. Cassanese volunteers at the Autoimmune Resource Center.The Cassaneses are members of Our Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, where Mr. Cassanese is an usher and Mrs. Cassanese taught CCD for 14 years.They are the parents of four children: George C.
