Pete DeComo, owner of the building, plans to remove the gutted fourth floor and roof the third story. The second and third floors will be remodeled and repaired.Patsy DeComo, the owner's son, said that the bar and restaurant on the first floor will probably be remodeled.The building contained four apartments and 12 single rooms.I unofficial damage estimates ! amounted to more than $25,000. Robert White, Ford City fire, chief conducted an investigationI on the probable cause of the blaze.| In his opinion, he said, the fire ; started, by spontaneous combus-| tion in a clothes closet of the j ! fourth floor. !None of the occupants of the i building were injured in the! blaze. White said. Ford City 1 fireman Frank Alcibiade was credited even with saving a bowl of goldfish from one of the apartments. He took the bowl to a neighboring house where the water was changed and the j fish kept for the owner. i Four Ford City firemen were: | slightly overcome by smoke. iThey were J. R. Liptow, E. L.; Hutchison, Ed Shiring and Robert Karl. Irvin Mitchell of KUtanmng No. 4 received a slight cut on the hand.
