HYMENEAL !CARNRIKE-McNElD jSt. Paul's church was the set- j ting for a lovely wedding Saturday, September 4. at 2 o'clock j when Alice Jan McNeil, daughter jof Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McNeil j IS York, and George William j Carnrike, sou of .Mr. and Mrs. j Ralph Carnrike, Star Route, were; united in marriage by Father Wil-jlard Doherty in a double ring j ceremony. 1The church altar was decorated ! with a white gladioli. The organ recital before and during the ceremony was played by Miss Sadie Quinn. jThe bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gotvn with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice trimmed with seed-pearls, long fitted sleeves extending over the wrist in a point and long train. Her fingertip veil was!net edged with fine lace and Tyasattached to a coronet of seed-pearls. Her only jewelry was a string of pearls a gift of the groom. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The white satin streamers were caught with white j pompons. . jMrs. Patricia Carnrike, sister-in-law of the groom, was matron of honor. Her gown was pink marquisette with a fitted bodice, and sweetheart neckline. She worea headband of pink flowers and pink veiling and carried a bouquet of pink roses.Mrs. McNeil, mother of thebride, wore black crepe dress withblack accessories. Mrs. Carnrike, mother of the groom, chose a navy sheer crepe dress with navy accessories. Each wore a corsage of red roses.Richard Carnrike served his brother as best man. Charles Meade, cousin of the groom and Charles McNeil, cousin of the bride were ushers.Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride for more than 200 guests. The table was decoratedwith a centerpiece of white snapdragons. sweetpeas and pink rose-and featured a large three-tiered wedding cake.When Mr. Carnrike and his bride left for a week's honeymoon to Niagara Falls and Canada. the new matron wore a grey gabardine suit with navy accessories. Her corsage was pink tigerlilies.Pre-nuptial parties for the bride were given by Mrs. RichardCarnrike, Mrs. Ralph Carnrike and Alice; Mrs. Bernard Merritt and Mrs. Maurice Waldorf.The bride is employed in the sales department of the Bennett-Ireland and the groom works in the tabulating department of the Norwich Pharmacal Company.Out-of-town guests attended from Oxford, Greene, Johnson City, Binghamton, Sidney, One-onta. New York.Mr. and Mrs. Carnrike will be at home to their friends at 17Conkey avenue.
