PIERRE LaPOINT ...golden anniversaryGROVES - Mr. and Mrs. Pierre LaPoint of 6717 32nd St. will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a reception Sept. 13 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 3749 Lincoln.The couple married in St. Johns Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermenau, La. They have four sons, Irving LaPoint, Lake Charles; Eugene LaPoint, Livingston; Emery LaPoint, San Antonio; and Chester LaPoint, Kirbyville.Hosting the event will be the grandchildren of the couple, Kathern Boyd, Lake Charles; Donna Hindsman, Livingston; Leslie, Lisa and Leah LaPoint, Kirbyville; and first cousins, Mary and Nancy Hanks of Port Arthur.
