Millers To Hold%Anniversary Party★★★Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel(Emil) Miller will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 12, with an open house at their home, 1039 Hurd avenue, Benton Harbor.No formal invitations have been issued but all friends and relatives will be received between 3 and 6 p.m.Hostesses will be the couple’s two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Natalie) Anderson, Benton Harbor, and Mrs. Edwin (Elizabeth) Dwan of Dowagiac, and two daughter-in-law, Mrs. Albert Miller, Keeler Lake, and Mrs. Leon Miller, Benton Harbor.Born overseas, of German descent, Mr. and Mrs. Miller came here as young people from their native Russia. They were married in Benton Harbor on Sept. 15, 1915.They have, in addition to theirpreviously mentioned daughtersand their sons, Albert and Leon, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.They belong to St. Matthew’s Lutheran church, where Mrs. Miller formerly was active in the Ladies Aid society.Mr. Miller is a retired employe of the Whirlpool Corporation, St. Joseph.Mr. Miller’s hobby is reading. He has read the Bible through at least 10 times. His wife is an enthusiastic church-goer.
