Kuriger Family Reunion Held AtMonticello Park On September 5thThe 8th annual Kuriger family reunion was held at the Monticello city park in Monticello on Sunday, Sept. 5, with 91 members of the family present.Clarence Kuriger is president of the group with Kenneth Schwen-dinger acting as secretary.A prize was presented to the oldest member attending the reunion, the honor going to Mrs. Anna Kuriger of Davenport, the youngest member of the Kuriger family was Dickie Hansen, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hansen of Waterloo.W. Held of Chicago, III., presented the group with a family tree dating hack to the descendant of Peter Kuriger family.Out of town guests attending the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. William Kuriger; Mr. and Mrs. Don Willey, David and Kathy; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hansen and family; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis W. The Monday evening meeting of the group is in accordance with the recent change of meeting night, according to Garth Grafft, Olin, president of the group; and will be held at the Farm Bureau building in Anamosa.Baker, experienced in speaking to groups of young people, will speak on “Preparing for Marriage.” A business meeting is also scheduled for the evening with recreation and refreshments to follow.
