The words were spoken by tin Reverend Joseph Barney that made them twain, and at the conclusion of tin' ceremony the wedded couple and their attendants. Mr. Samuel Shaffer and Miss Julia Mixon, marched to the dining room, followed by the minister and wife, together with near relatives of the bride and groom, who were waited on at the first table. It is only in the light of justice and right to say in this connection that no signs of ‘dyspeptics'' were noticed among the seventy-five present, not even in the cast of John F. Snyder. The bride is nn estimable younglady, much respected and honored by the good and well-to-do people of this community. Her modestyand industrial habits have won her hosts of friends and made her younglife worthy of imitation. The groom is a young man of unquestioned character, having been raised and nurtured in a Christian family, and his relation and dealings with the business world has been strictly on this line of training. He is now the regularly appointed postmaster at Mattie and proves himself to be the right man in the right place. As a teacher in districtschools, he had acquired a goodreputation, having taught a numberof successful terms. The infare dinner was had on Friday at Mattie, at the home of the groom, and was attended by some forty-five guests. Now as these worthy young people inter the 11ft' of wedded bliss, tin' future before them is bright and promising. The writer extends congratulations and in behalf of the good people of this community wi-hes them a long and useful life.
