Pancake Days Will Start with ParadePancake Days will begin today at 4 p. ra. in Monessen.At that t: mo. Municipal Pi re Chief W. Roy McShaffrey will lead a parade from Fourth St.' down Donner Ave. to Sixth Stand back on Schoonmaker to Fourth. .Immediately after the parade, pancake meals will be served at the lower level of the Parking Plaza which will be turned into a giant restaurant' for the three-day promotion. ‘The famed Aunt Jemima and a troupe of entertainers will be at the Plaza throughout all of the serving time. Tickets, which sell for SiT will entitle the holder to a meal, entertainment and an opportunity at some special prizes.The promotion will be co-spon-sored by the city's Chamber of Commerce and Peoples Natural Gas Co. All proceeds will go toward the city’s Public Library and Memorial Civic Center.’ During the parade, traffic will be detoured over Railroad Alley. .All parking in the alley between 3 and 5 p. m. is strictly forbidden.
