ClarksburgNelson SweeneysMarried 50 Years;Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Sweeney of Hall’s ground tomorrow will observe their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner at Petey Dink's restar-ant for the immediate family \'nd close friends, and on Wednesday will hold open house at the home of their son and daughfter-in-law.Mr. and Mrs. Sweeney were married Sept. 12, 1906, in Stamford, Vt., by Rev. J. H. C. Cooper of that town.Mrs. Sweeney was bom in Tavistock, England, 73 years ago. and Mr. Sweeney, 78, is a native of Adams. They lived in Pownal, Vt., before coming to Clarksburg 35 years ago.Employed by Strong, Hewat company until 1948 when he retired. Mr. Sweeney was teamster when horses were used by the company for transportation of goods. Later he was truck driver. He was also school custodian of the old Briggsville school and worked for a short time in the new building.They attend the First Congregational church of North Adams.They have seven children, Mrs. Clinton Tisdale, William T. Sweeney, Mrs. Armand Pandell, Mrs. Charles Luczynski and Ralph Sweeney, all of Hall’s ground, Earl Sweeney of North Adams and Nelson Sweeney, Jr., of Long Island, N. Y., and 17 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.Open house Wednesday, to which their many friends have been invited, will be held from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 at the home of their son and .daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William T.
