Barthe1'- J^were very pleasantly surprised it vS.'their j home, five miles west of Birmi ,ham, on September 2, when about sixty of their friends and relatives came in with well filled baskets, and reminded them that they had been married fifty years, and that they were to celebrate their Golden Wedding.Shortly after the quests had all ar-; rived a large table was spread with a burden of the best things to eat that loving hands could prepare, and which ' gave credit to the ladies who preparedthem.The bride and groom were then in-Ivited to the dining room, where a i bountiful dinner was served, and all enjoyed a pleasant day.Those present were: Mr. and Mrs.1J.
