After all the Grit papers have to say about the efficiency of the Dawson route a* a mean* of oom muni cation with Manitoba, the fact ati 11 remains that all the emigrants who go there, and all the passengers sent there by the Government,somehow go by way of Duluth* and don't patronize the Dawson route at alb Thisis one way of utilising a “tirst claas road. Two batches of Menuonite emigrants were despatched to Manitoba this week, but they didn’t ch*Hiae the Dawson route. Meaarsr Carpenter are all right. They draw a bonus from the Government, and it makes no difference to them if the Dawaon route route la never used at all—they get their money just the same. This speaks well for ths Government.
