Zeleznys mark 60 years togetherWilliam Bill” and Virginia Zelezny of Rollins will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends Sept, 12 at the Rollins Community Building.The couple were married Sept. 14. 1949, in Iowa City, Iowa. They met while going to State University of Iowa. Bill was working on his Ph.D. in physical chemistry and Virginia was finishing up a history degree while working as a registered nurse.After graduation the Zeleznys livt^d in Cleve land, Ohio, where Bill worked for the Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (now NASA), then Washington State College (now Washington State University) where he was employed in the Division of Industrial Research and was a part time pro fessor of metallurgyThe Zeleznys also livt*dBILL AND Virginia Zelezny were married Sept. 14, 1949.many years in Idaho Ftills, Idaho, and Ixis Alamos. N.M. They are avid gardeners and Bill is well known for his home grown tomato plants and gounnet com.
