TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1955County Commissioners Decline To Aid In Purchasing X-Ray Unit. Robeson county commissioners declined yesterday to pay hall the cost of a $9,000 x-ray unit for the County Health Department, believing they said, that periodic use of the mobile x-ray units reaches many more people than a fixed unit. Cooperation in the purchase was requested by a delegaton representing the Robeson County Tuberculosis Association.Previously commissioners had agreed to help in the purchase of a unit for the health department,ion, Hou about Johnny’s feet? The delegation believed that with a less expensivt film size, an educatonal program could equal the coverage of tht mobile units. -But commissioners did appropriate $2,000 to help in the purchase of equipment for the Robeson County Rescue unit, a project originated by Civil Defense and police officers. The county appropriation followed a gift of $3,000 for the $8-9,000 unit from the City of Lum-berton. Other contributions have come from towns, civic clubs and individuals throughout the county which will very nearly bring the total to the purchase price.The unit will be available anywhere and will be equipped for highway and water re$lt;we work.Commissioners also authorized County Manager J.
