Celebrated Golden WeddingMr. nnd Mrs. W. A* Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 3, by having a family gathering in their home in Smithvillc, On August 1, 1502, W. A. Smith, better known as Bill T., and Miss Edith Cessna were united in marriage by D. A. Gorman, Justice of the Peace.A beautiful three-tier wedding cake, beautifully trimmed with golden colors, was presented the couple by their children.The Smiths are living on the same farm where they settled 50years ago. Many changes have been made. A village known as Smlthvllle, has grown, and homes are occupied by children and grandchildren of the Smiths.Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Smith and Ronnie, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith, Phillis and Judy, Mr. and Mrs. Atden Smith and Marcia, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith, Mofla and Alan, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smith* Patty, Diane, and Sharon,Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Nelson snd Gregory, Mr. and Mrs, Richard Smith, Gary and Bobby, Mr. and Mrs.' William Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Huff, Chan and Cindy. Mrs. Homer Tyger, and Miss Mona White.A son, Carlton D. Smith, and wife were on their wedding trip, therefore were not present. A grandson, Gene Smith, and family were unable to be present.
