DePrez, and Mr. and Mrs. -Ubcrt DePrez.The party was a pretty affair, and the table decorations were beautiful and unique Thirty-two guests were seated at the table which had been arranged in the form of a “T.”At the center of the table was a miniature ship, which had been con-] stmeted of flowers, pink roses, and d( lphinias being used. At the end of the T-shfp table, was a map of Soutli America, done in lavender asters. The city of Rio do Janeiro, where Mr. and Mrs. Porter will spend some lime, was marked on the map with purple immortelles. The decorations were made by Edwin Morner, of this city.Souvenirs in the form of hat boxes, suit cases, and trunks filled with bonbons were presented to each of the guests. Following the dinner, bride was enjoyed,Mr. and .Mrs. Harry DePrez will entertain at the club on Friday night for Mr. and Mrs. Porter.A bequest valued at between $35,000 and $40,000 to the city of Shelbyville, for the City Hos*pital maintenance fund, was made known today, with the filing for probate, with the clerk of the Shelby circuit court, of the will of Calvin Ross. Mr. Ross, who had been a resident ofShelbyville for many years, died a few days ago at his home inSouth Harrison street.The will of Mr. Ross provides that the property given to the city shall be carefully loaned and invested, and that no part of the principal shall be used. It is stipulated that the city shall use the interest and income from the amount of the bequest, in the support and the maintenance of the City Hospital, and that if the city shall fail to open a hospital that the money and other property shall revert to his legal heirs. The same provision is made in case fhe hospital is closed for a period of one year.Mr. Ross states in his will that the bequest was made in memory of his son, Grover Ross, who died several years.ago. The will provides that the gift shafi be known as the Grover Ross Fu^d” and that a portrait of the youug m4u shall be placed in the of-lice or the main hall of the hospitalAlbert F. Wray, local aHorney, who is named as the executor^f the es-COUNCIL FIXESi cuv im nmikiTvtate, stated that the total value of the estate would be between $45,000 and $50,000. Mr. Wray has tiled his bond for $42,000 with the clerk of the Shelby circuit court.Mr. Ross also bequeathed the sum of $1,000 to Edward Hines, his neighbor and friend. He also gave $1,00 to a neice, Jennie Thompson, of Oxford.
