L, Stamy, 939 Eighteenth avenue west. The'occasion was celebrated at the home of their daughter, Mrs. W.*H. Clark, 913 Eighteenth avenue west, by an all day meeting of the family, nearly, fifty porsons being present. A three course din nor \i?as served by Mrs. Emerson of Marlon. Instrumental music was rendered by the Misses Jessie Griffith of ♦ ^ .Warren, Ohio, and Mario .Stookey of Shellsburg, Iowa. Mrs. W. H. Clark,Prof. S. W. Stookey and Stanley. • \ * vStookey favored the assembly with vocal selections. The intervening time was devoted to family communion and reminiscence, the presence of the aged couple overshadowing the even t with a tender and sacred halo. The father was presented with a gold headed cane and the mother with a pair of gold eye glasses, a touching presentation speech being made by Charles Stookey of Shellsburg, and an, appreciative response by father Stookey. Dorothy 'Stookey preseuted a large boquet of tea roses to her grandmother.In May, 1855, Mr. and Mrs. Levi J.*Stookey, who are now aged 86 and 81 years respectively, arrived in Iowa from fmllana and settled on a farm not far from this city.
