MR. AND MRS. LEWIS T. WILSONThe L. T. Wilsons Observe 65th Anniversary Sept. ITwo extremely young for their years senior citizens of Ennis are likeable, fine, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis T. Wilson, who live at the edge of town on the Oak Grove Road.They’d been married 65 years, Sept 1, and observed the day quietly at their home as their only living son, Raymond L. Wilson and his wife of Houston, phoned that they will be visiting here on their vacation Oct. 2. She is the former Marie Sheets of the Bardwell community. Their other son, Clovis Jack Wilson, who lived at the home address, with them, died five years ago. They have one grandchild, Raymond L Wilson Jr. of Fort Worth, and two greatgrandchildren, Anna Marie and Raymond Allen Wilson, Fort Worth.Mr. and Mrs Wilson formerlybelonged to the old AntiochBaptist Church on the Ensign Road, now disbanded. They farmed in that neighborhoodand her parents lived on the Ensign Road Mrs. Wilson the former Miss Lessie Perrin, daughter of Susan and Mat Perrin, was 82 July 7. She was born close to Oak Grove.Mr. Wilson, who was 85 Jan. 12, was born about two miles east of Waxahachie. His parents were Leona Parker Wilson and Franklin Wilson. They were married here in Ennis Mr and Mrs Wilson farmed in this area until 1946 when they moved to their present address, a freshly painted bungalow. They are smart, alert, friendly and able to take care of themselves, their home and yard. They have a coolscreened-in back porch wherethey sit afternoons and nights taking advantage of • the southeast breeze and the outdoors vista unbroken from this choice and comfortable point.Not many live to observe their 65th anniversary but the Wilsons not only made this record but are getting along and around quite well.
