Roger L, Clowser. 18. a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Clowser ofDayton RD 2. was hospitalized as a result of the two-car accident, three miles west of Rural Valley on Route 839.Murray Richard Rearick, 26, of Dayton RD 2 received head bruises but Was not hospitalized. The accident happened at 5:05 p.m. yesterday,Armstrong County Memorial Hospital authorities said today that Clowser's condition is “fair. with a possible fractured skull and body bruises.State Police said that Rearick was travelling north on 839 at a high rate of speed on a sectionof highway under construction. Heallegedly failed to pay attention to posted signs when he approached a one-way traffic late near a curve.When negotiating the curve, Rearick reportedly left the higirway when he approached a barricade. At the lime Clowser was approaching the curve, travelling south onm cii YIC J\Y,830.Near the barricade, police said. Rearick struck an embankment as he left the highway and rolled back onto the road.The bumper of Rearick’s sedan allegedly caught Clowser's vehicle and ripped the entire body from its chassis.Estimated damages to Reariek'scar was §l.50».
