Funeral services were held Sunday, August 31, for George J. Rau, 73, late of 403 N. Vailave., Arlington Heights, at Black’sMemorial Home at 2 p. m. Rev.Earl Peterson officiated. Interment Arlington Heights cemetery.Mr. Rau was bom February ; 20, 1879, in Pacific, Mo. He had lived in Arlington Heights for more than 50 years and had beenemployed by Remington-RandCo. for more than 25 years. He died August 28 in Evanston hospital. His wife, Nellie H. Fairchild, preceded him in death in1946.He leaves the following children, Mrs. Evelyn Jayne of Wheaton, Aurelia R. Rau of Arlington Heights and Orson A. of California, and four brothers and two sisters.
