GOLDEK WEDDING AJTITIVERSAYCelebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Robert M.*Horttfn Sunday.1Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Horton happily celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Sunday at theirhome on north East street. Mrs. Horton’s maiden name was Lydia A. Hankins and the couple were married at the bride’s home near the old Milton school house on ^Jndian Kentucky cfeek, Esquire Henry Hall performing the ceremony. They j j were both born in Jefferson county and have lived here continuously. To their union were born eight children, of which number only three survive, as follows: Mrs. Hettie Gibbs, of Montgomery county, Ind., and Mrs. Rachel Green and Mr. William Horton, of this county, who, with a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, were present at the happy celebration.Mr. Horton will be 72 years old in*November and Mrs. Horton will be 70 years of age next June. Mr. Horton was a gallant soldier of the civil war and was a member of the 10th Ind. Cavalry. Although the couple are entering upon the afternoon of their life they are both in good health and enjoyed the day immensely.The Herald, with hosts of friends, extends congratulations to the bride and groom of fifty years ago, with the hope that they may be spared to celebrate many more anniversaries.Those present to participate in the big dinner were:Mr. and Mrs.—ARobert M.
