Sherman home, 1290 Algonquin Road, Sunday, August 24, to extend congratulations to the happy couple,The party was planned by their daughter, Mrs, Angeline Gray Byrne, husband and family, 328 Harding Avenue, assisted by the Shermans’ foster daughter, Mrs. Arvilla Roselle and family of Saginaw, Mich. The actual anniversary date was August. 25, on which day in 1902 at East Springfield, Pa. they pledged “until death do us part” and meant it.During their married life, two daughters were born, Mary Lou, now Mrs. Price, is with her husband in Japan and could not be present for this momentous occasion, Angeline Gray Byrne nowr residing in Des Plaines was the gracious hostess at the lawn party.In arriving at their golden years, the couple have lived in Rowley, la., Sidell, Tampico, Ashland and Chicago, 111. and for ten years have been residents of Des Plaines. Mr. Sherman also observed 50 years as a member of the Masons on August 8.
