Crash injures seven on Rt. 81 near LimaSeven people were injured in a two-car crash at 1:15 p.m. yesterday at the intersection of State Route 81 and Easttown Road, according to the highway patrol.Sondra S. Her two passengers, Karen Ebbeskotte, 18, and Louise Ebbeskotte, 16, both of Rt. 2, Delphos, received minor injuries.Christopher S. Hall, 17, of 2444 West Spring St., Lima, driver of the other car, was injured. His three passengers, Ed Tierney, 19, of 2449 WesPSpring St., Lima, received minor injuries; Dana DeJohn, 19, and his brother, Duane, 16, both of 2409 West Spring St., Lima, were both injuredAll seven were taken to St. Rita’s Hospital where they were treated for cuts and bruises and released. Duane De John received a fractured noseMr. Hall was driving his car southbound on Easttown Road He told officers he had stopped his car for the stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection.The Ebbeskotte woman wasdriving her car east on State Route 81. Her car struck the Hall auto in the side at the intersection, officers said Mr. Hall’s auto, following the impact, was driven into two poles. The Ebbeskotte car, following the collision, ran over a stop sign and then on into a yard, officers said.Mr Hall was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign on a through highway, patrolmen said.The Hall auto was totally demolished and the Ebbeskotte auto sustained severe damages.A hit skip accident was investigated by the Van Wert Post of Ohio Highway Patrol,Kathryn S. Agler, 23, of Middle Point, told officers her car at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday was run into by another automobile on State Route 697 about three and three-tenths miles west of Delphos She said she was westbound when an eastbound car was approaching in her lane of traffic. She told officers she drove her car off the right side of the highway and the other auto struck the left rear section of her car which was off the road. The motorist failed to stop.
