Miscellaneous Matters.It is stated that the Maryland Slate police are going to carry out the law requiring horse drawn vehicles to carry lights, something which they hitherto have been a little lax in pushing, rather preferring to warn the guilty parties. Many on the road seem, however, to have not heeded their warning, as hundreds nightly traverse the State roads with no light at all on their conveyance. The penalty for a violation of this law is a fine ranging from $5 to $50.Nearly 100 direct descendants were present recently at a family reunion given in honor of Mr. John Bishop, of Queenstown, at the home of his son, C. Tilgh-man Bishop, on Wye river. Mr. Bishopwas surrounded by his six children, 44 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
