A. It. and W. R. C. planne a reception in their honor, held at their home from two till five which time was suent with pleasure and profit, tor it is a rare event. Fifty years of married lifo together and we could well pause while in life rush, and think what it all means.Revs. Herr and Robinson gave talks humerous and otherwise filling the occasion.Flowers of many kinds wore seen on every side but the golden yellow loomed above all otherB, embiamatic of the golden aide of lifo. Flags were floating in the yard cauBiug it to take on a patriotic air. Ice cream and'cake web served to the guesta numbering half hundred of the two orders also some friends.Mr. Heidt came to Clinton County. Iowa, in 1860, served in civil war in Co. E 26 la. Infantry in 18G5. August 30, he was married to Mary C. Ren-land. Have lived hero for nine years where they are loved and honored members of society.
