StoneJBrings Many-Large Crowd Expected in Beckleyl' This Afternoon at Preeby-terian CeremoniesA large number of out of town people are expected in the city this afternoon for the services and ceremonies incident to the laying of the corner stone of the new Presbyterian church by the local Masonic Lodge assisted by the Knights Templars from Mt. Hope*. Probably 1,50(1 people will be present at the laying of the corner stone.Special program and music has been arranged for and will be carried out. This will include the sing- 1 ing of hymns, greetings from the other churches of the city by their ministers or other persons of the the congregation. Sixty Knight Templars from Mt. Hope will he present. Deputy Grand Master E. L. Ripeth, of Mt. Hope, will he in charge of the exercises as Grand Master. Masons and Templars will meet, the first at the lodge rooms 1 and the second at the First Baptist Church, at 2:15 p. m„ and prepare for the march to the church arriving there at 3 p. in. for the beginning of the services.i The box under the stone will contain a copy of the Bible, child’s i catcchismi shorter catechism, certain clippings from the Raleigh Register and the Raleigh Herald, the two papers of Beck ley; names of j members of the Berkley Preshyter-I ian church; names of the ministers of the churches in Berkley bringing greetings; copy of the program; names of the officers of Berkley Lodge No. 95 A.
