In the evening the event was observed m the Opera House, adjoining the Stahl home where hundreds o£ relatives and friends had gathered to congratulate the couple on this occasion. Solemn services were held at St. Grogonous church at 9 o'clock in the morning.Mr. Stahl was married fo Sophia Leonhardt of Centerville on. November 24, 1874, at St. Georg’s chut ch in Centerville by the Rev. Kolbare. Eecuuse of the late time in the sea* i son, the children living a great distance from home, it was decided to hold the celebration at this time. Up to 1915, when the couple retired from active life; they resided on a Carrn near St Nazianz and since that time have been residents of the village.Mr. Stahl was born on February 8, 1852, in Germany and Mrs. Stahl was born on January 10, 1850. When he was but six months of age ftjr. Stahl came to the United Stateswith his parents and Mrs. Stahl came ovor when she was two years of age.Eight children were born to thecouple. They a recall living and allwere present atMhe wadding. The children are Mrs Anton Kalten-bruim. ot VaUlers, Mrs- Frauk Kuutzsr. Sheboygan; Mrs. John Jensen, CaUviba, Wis, Frank Stahl, Plymouth, Theodore Stahl, Oshkosh , Mrs. William Eichenbeirger, of Plymouth, and twins Mrs. Peter Wollersheim, this city, and Mrs. Jo-cepli Ebenhce, Manitowoc.There are forty grandchildren and one great grandchild, the^Jatter the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kautaar, this city.A large number of Sheboygan relatives and friends attended the celebration Saturday and remained over Sunday.F, E.
