fIGETS PROMOTION—Army Nurse Louise Homer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hamer of 3911 148th Ave., Holland, was promoted to first lieutenant during ceremonies near Chu Lai, Vietnam, Oct. 8. Lt. Hamer, a general duty nurse at the 27th Surgical Hospital, entered the Army Nurse corps in August 1967 and was stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., before arriving overseas last March.
