ANNIVERSARYIS CELEBRATEDMr. and Mrs. George f W. Potter Enjoy Happy Event, After 50 Years as Companions. •CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDEDAnother happy event was observed Tuesday when Mr. and Mrs. George W. Potter celebrated their fiftieth* wedding anniversary at their home on Northwest Fifth street. Both Mr. and Mrs. Potter despite their advanced age are vigorous and hale and took great delight in greeting the friends and relatives who were privileged ip spend the day with them and the many friends who called during the after-* noon to offer felicitations.Mr. Potter was bom in 1843 in Bel-pre, Ohio. Mrs, Potter, whose maiden name was Miss Luna Jackson, was bom at LaFayette, 111., in 1849. After their marriage, which occurred at Toulon, they lived near LaFayette and in that vicinity for several years, later coming to Galva and purchasing a farm about two miles south of this city where they made their home for twenty-eight years.
