At the time it was thought that this picture stamp was to be the forcruuuer of a series ill ust rati ve of the scenery of the colony, after the style of Now Zealand, I but the crudity of thlt;-design and workmanship probably settled the question of venturing any further, being a large i size stamp, it had to Ini printed on the crown OC pa|n*r used mostly for large- Isized high value,Unused Used s. d* a. d.
