Arrangements for the reception, which was attend-ed by 4(11) guests, were made by their children.The former Ina Sillanpaa and Yalmer Karvonen were married bv the late Rev. J. W. Lahde in I New York Mills October 20, 1913.; Their attendants were Mrs. Hel-| ler (Mamie Perala) and Ben i Kampala, both deceased.I They lived in Bovey for three j years and then in Otto township on their farm for four years. Then they moved to New York Mills where Mr. Karvonen was manager of the Finnish news* i paper, Uusi Kotimaa for six years. For the past 36 years he has been in the undertaking and furniture business.This summer Mr. and Mrs. Karvonen made their anniversary wedding trip to Finland where they spent six weeks.j They have four children Mrs.I EJmcr (Hazel) tfoedigheimer of ! Minneapolis; Harley, a mail car-I rier; Mrs. Walter (Helen) Joke la : and Harotd who is in business with his father, all living in New York Mills. They have 13 grand* \ children.Mrs. Karvonen‘s sister, Mrs. Gert Oja of Annandafe served I he wedding cakc. Their daughters Mrs. Bocdigheimer and Mrs. Jakelii poured.
