5Qth Anniversarycf Mr. end Mrs. GzubiA nappy occasion, long to be remembered, was the celebration of the 50th or golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley (izubitki, 2200 W Desplaines St., where thev have resided for the past 4b yearsOn Wednesday, Oct 20, the immediate family gathered there for cake and coffee, so as not to spoil a surprise which was in store for the couple on Sunday, Oct 24.It was indeed a complete surprise when the immediate family and close friends gathered at the home of a daughter, Mrs Joseph Walshon, 2040 Market st , Sunday, for a f o’clock dinner tendered to the couple by their children.Decorations for the occasion were carried out in gold leavesand yellow rosesLater in the evening, at open house, relatives, friends and neighbors came to extend good wishes and congratulations and to enjoy the festivities of this memorable day.Mr. and Mrs. Gzubicki are the parents of John B. Stanley, Mrs. Celia Walshon, Mrs. Helen Christie of Posen. Henry' Sobiski, Bdward Sobiski and a deceased son, Zig mund Sobiski.The~e are 17 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.Sons, daughters and their husbands and wives presented them with a cornucopia, decorated in gold, which contained a purse gift.Beautiful gifts from other members of the family, friends and neighbors were also received.
