Married 68 YearsMr. and Mrs. Elias, Hosier of Boswortb, celebrated their 68tb wedding anniversary at their home here Thursday of last week. The day was passed in the ordinary every-day pursuits but they bad plenty of time to recall events surround-Nl ^ing October 21, 1875, when they took their marriage vowsMr. and Mrs. Hosier were married by Rev. Mr Owens, a minister of the Christian faith who lived in Rockford township not far from Grand River. The couple rode horseback to the home of the minister where the wedding ceremouy was performed.The newlywed® went to housekeeping in a house that stood on the farm north of Bosworth on Little Hurrican now owned by RayStanleyMrs. Hosier was Azora Colbert, a daughter of Greenbecry and MaryJane Colbert who came to this county from Kentucky when Azora was about nine years old. She is 86 now aod the soft Southern accent of the people of her native state can be noted in her speech. SiDce coming to this county shehas never lived farther than 6%miles from the present site of Bos-WOrtb. S;/?-Elias was a son of Daniel aod Elsie hosier. He was born in Ohio aod came here from Iodiana with his parents when be was justa boy. He was 90 years old lastAug usrTheir two children, Mr.®. LeoratParker aod Ivy Hosier are both living, the latter, a wheel chair invalid, making her home with her parents. There are 12 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.Mr. and Mrs. Hosier believe they have been married longer than any other living couple in Carroll county.
