Widow Questioned in Strange Death of Strange ManVENTURA. CAI.IF, Oct. 28— (UP)- The widow of Peter Veysey, a writer of astrological stoires and consort of the disciples of a | strange Hindu cult, was questioned today about her husband's death in the fireplace at their home Sunday afternoon.The manner of his death could not be learned. His body was half consumed by the fire. An autopsy showed there were no evidences of violence, and also that he did not l die of a heart attack.The writer lived in a bungalow in the Ojai Valley, and before the fireplace in which he died, the Disciples of Jeddu Krishnamurti, a noted Hindu theosophist. fro- j quently gathered for discussions. Veysey did not belong to the cult but his home was one of its popular meeting places. The theoso-ohists, among other things, believe that they ahve a direct communication with God by mystical instinct. Near the Veysey bungalow 1 | is the estate where Krishnaumurti has two homes, which he calls “huts’', to rest between his lecture tours that take him around the world.Mrs. Veysey was questioned immediately after her husband’s body was found in the weird seclusion of his parlor where he often retired to write rtoiles for the American Astrology mag/t/ine.
