MR. MRS. CHARLES HOLMESCouple celebrates 50th anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Charles Holmes Gooding will be honored at an open house Saturday afternoon by their children in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.The open house will be held at the home of their son F. M. Gooding, 709 Thompson Dr. Other hosts will be C. H. Gooding, Jr. of Fort Worth and Mrs.J. W. Sill of Rantoul, 111.The couple, who have lived in Richardson at 905 Melrose Dr. since 1965, were married Oct. 29, 1921 in Durant, Okla. Prior to coming to Richardson, the Goodings lived in Dayton, Ohio where Mr. Gooding was with the Defense Contract Administration Services. He retired in 1968 after 30 years of service with the federal government.
