Cross Traffic Halted At Springtown Entry■ LIVERMORE - A temporary barrier preventing traffic across Highway 50 at the Springtown intersection near Iwre has been Installed by the State Division of Highways.The wood barricade, combined with warning signs and flashing lights at night, is part of the temporary solution to the intersection’s problems, worked out by the City of Livermore and the State Highway Com-Hearing Set On ProfanityFREMONT—A citation hearing has been set Nov. 4 to determine if a complaint should be accepted against Mrs, Robert C. .Taylor, wile of the administrator of Washi n g t o n Township Hospital.mission last month in Sacramento.All cross traffic at the intersection, with the exception of left turns from the highway, has been-eliminated.Five people have died in recent months in accidents at the intersection, three of them in a single week.A partial interchange system, as a permanent solution to the intersection hazard is planned. However, this won’t be constructed for another two years, according to officials of the State Division of Highways.Vehicles headed across Highway 50 into the Springtown development will be forced to detour by way of Los Positas and Vasco Roads.Delegations of city and county officials appeared before the highway commission last month with the plan, proposed by Dan Lee, Livermore public works director.
