Henry Grabenkemper and hi« wife celebrated their golden wedding yesterday afternoon at their comfortable farmhouse in Winton road. Since the days of the rebellion they have lived a happy life on the sam^ farm, and yesterday’s celebration was one which attracted to their home their host of friends and relatives. At 3 o’clock Christian Schenck, the pastor of^ the First German Evangelical Chvrch, of which the couple have been members for forty years, performed the marriage deremony, as is the custom among the Germans on such occasions. After the ceremony there was a supper, at which none of the delicacies or substantials of the season was missing. The evening was devoted by the younger set to dancing, the aged bride and groom leading a grand march at 8 o’clock.Are Natives of Prussia.Henry Grabenkemper was born February 27, 1820, at Dielgen, Prussia, and his wife, Engel Vanholz, was born in the same village December 14, 1826. Together they grew up and were married October 25, 1850. Four years later they decided to try their fortunes In America, and reached Cincinnati August 1, 1854. After living eleven years at Delhi they removed to the farm in Wlntop road, which has been their home since.
